New type α+β marine titanium alloy
In recent years, with the development of marine development and the development of the ship industry, the requirements for ship materials have become higher and higher.
Therefore, materials with excellent strength, plasticity, toughness and good welding performance have been favored.
Titanium and titanium alloys have good comprehensive mechanical and physical and chemical properties such as low density, high specific strength, corrosion resistance, heat resistance, low temperature performance, and non-magnetic properties. They have been widely used in aerospace, biomedical, marine and other fields.
There have been earlier studies on titanium alloys for ships and ships abroad, and many successful applications have been obtained in high-end weapons and equipment. The domestic research on corrosion-resistant alloys is relatively late. Luoyang 725 Research Institute has developed Ti80 alloys and Ti80 alloys through composition design. The nominal composition is Ti-6Al-3Nb-2Zr-1Mo, which is a 875MPa grade corrosion-resistant weldable structure α+β titanium alloy developed by our country. There are many researches on its heat treatment process.
The corrosion resistance, weldability and fracture toughness of this alloy are obviously better than TC4-DT alloy, but the impact toughness is lower. The Ti85 alloy is optimized by adding Fe, and its nominal composition is Ti-6Al-3Nb-2Zr-1Mo-0.5Fe. The application prospect of this alloy is the bearing members, bolts and pressure vessels of underwater weapons. It is a new type of α +β-type marine titanium alloy.
Compared with other similar titanium alloys, this alloy has similar or superior comprehensive properties. Ti85 alloy has the advantages of being less sensitive to segregation, good hardenability, excellent strength and high impact toughness, so the alloy has good development potential and market prospects, and can be used as one of the important candidate materials for marine corrosion resistant alloys.
As a new type of two-phase titanium alloy, the best heat treatment condition for strength toughness matching of ti85 alloy is 995 ℃ / 180min, AC.
Under different heat treatment conditions, with the increase of heat treatment temperature, the α phase in the structure decreases and the strength increases. When the strength and plasticity do not change greatly, the impact toughness reaches the maximum at 995 ℃ / 180min and AC.
A large number of dimples are distributed on the fracture surface of impact toughness specimen, and there is no flat slip zone caused by obvious slip.
